I have an Msc in Pharmaceutical Services and Medicines Control from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. I also obtained an Msc in Pharmacy from Kharkov State Pharmacy Institute in the former USSR.

The Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone aims at implementing appropriate and workable regulatory guidelines to achieve the highest practicable standards of practice of pharmacy by professionals and of safety, efficacy and quality of all drugs, medical devices, cosmetics and nutritional agents collectively termed “ Products” locally manufactured, imported, exported, distributed, sold or used to ensure the protection of the public health as envisaged by the Pharmacy and Drugs Act, 2001.

To empower District Medical Officers in investigating practitioners who would want to open hospitals in the different districts; they in turn send reports to the council. If the openings of these establishments meet the criteria of the Medical and Dental Council, the go ahead is given for the establishment of such enterprises.
