Issa Kamara, Levuma Village, Kandu Leppiama Chiefdom, Kenema District being treated with traditional medicine, the Black Stone

Issa Kamara, 6, lives with his father and mother, Mr. Sheku Kamara. His dad is in charge of the Levuma Health Centre. He was bitten by a snake on Wednesday May 24 in their home at Levuma.

They rushed with him to this health centre. He was injected and given some tablets to drink. Later, the Black stone was attached to his hand.

“The pain in my hand is better now, but still hurts” he complained, but he was grateful to these doctors (CHOs and MCHA) who are treating him with this black stone which they say will reduce the swelling and pain in his hand because he had been told by their neighbours that if he had not been rushed with to the centre earlier he would have died. But Issa, a class one pupil at the RC School, confessed that he does not even know death mean, but ha was thankful to God.
