My name is Johnson Whombho Sathy Kargbo and I am currently the Acting Deputy Registrar of the Births and Death Registry.

After completing my secondary school in 1974, I worked briefly as a teacher at the Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone Primary School in Makeni.

In 1976, I came to Freetown and gained employment as a registrar in the Births and Death Registry Department of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.

Following this employment, I was put on probation as a registrar and only became substantially employed in 1987. After this, I was posted to Makeni as a senior registrar.

In 2000, I was recalled to Freetown and my duties included assisting the then Deputy Chief Registrar. Upon his death in 2005, I was made the Acting Chief Registrar.
