Freetown, Aug 17, 09. (MOHS) – Former Acting Chief Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Alhaji Dr. Kisito Sheku Daoh has been appointed to the substantive post of Chief Medical Officer.

Making the announcement on his elevation at a Top Management Team Meeting in the Ministry’s Conference Hall at Youyi Building in Freetown, the Senior Permanent Secretary, Mr. Edward Bai Kamara said Dr. Daoh has been a very committed and resourceful Officer during the period he served in the capacity of Acting Chief Medical Officer.
He described Dr. Daoh as a man with a fine leadership character, which he said could be seen in his dedication to service, and ability to articulate actions for positive development.

The Permanent Secretary noted Dr. Daoh’s Leadership potential in the teaching and Medical Profession, adding that he has no doubt that he would use his new appointment and ability in making the Ministry a more viable institution.
Until his recent appointment, Dr. Daoh has served in various capacities and position of trust.
Has also served as President of the Sierra Leone Medical and Dental Association.
He is married and blessed with Children.
