I returned to the country in 1987 and did my housemanship at Connaught Hospital in the Department of Oral health. I was then transferred to Makeni in 1989 to establish an Oral Health Department at the Makeni Government Hospital.

I returned to Freetown in 2001 and headed the Oral School Health Programme.

From 2001 to 2002, I pursued a Masters Degree in Public Health Dentistry.

From 2002 to 2006, I was appointed the Head of the newly refurbished Oral Health Department at the Connaught Hospital.

I became the head of Oral health services in 2006.
