My name is Kisito Sheku Daoh. I obtained my Medical Degree from the University of Parma, Italy in 1982. I also have a Post Graduate degree in Obstetric and Gynecology in 1983.

I obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Policy, Planning and Financing in 1986. Later on in that year, I served as the Senior Registrar at the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (PCMH) until 1989. I became a Senior Specialist in Child Health at the Maternity Unit of Kenema Government Hospital from 1989 to 1991.
I was the Coordinator of the National Family Planning Programme from 1991 to 1997. I became the National Manager of the Reproductive health Programme from 1997 to date. I also lecture at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS).
In 2004, I also obtained an MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing. I have done international consultancy work in Mali, Ghana and Liberia. I specialize in the area of reproductive health.
I also train doctors in maternal reproductive health since 2005. I am currently the President of the Sierra Leone Medical and Dental Association.
As Manager of the Reproductive Health Programme, I am responsible for coordinating reproductive health, maternal health, family planning, contraceptive commodity security and STI management within the Ministry.
I specialize in training doctors and midwives in reproductive health services, hospital based training and supervision of maternal health units. I also visit hospitals to look see what the doctors and nurses do in the maternity units, theatres and labor wards.
