I studied in the Soviet Union, where I attained the degree of MD.
I came back home, did my “House Job” and became a Medical Officer (MO).
My experience embraced working for three years at Connaught, the Government Central Hospital in Freetown, and subsequently as a medical officer in various government district hospitals in Bo, Bonthe, Kenema, Port Loko, Kailahun and Kono Districts in the south, east and north of the country respectively.
I went for further studies at Leeds University in 1994 and graduated with a Masters degree.
Upon my return, I was posted to Moyamba District south of the country as District Medical Officer (DMO), where I served for barely two years before the rebel war forced me to flee .
I took over as programme Manager and senior specialist of the National School Health and Adolescent Health Programme in 1998.
Adolescence Health is a new component added to the National School Health following a training I did in Abuja in October 2005.
