We have a reasonable quantity of drugs which are made available to us upon the returns. UNICEF recently gave us a Dulas Solar freezer which has proved to be very helpful in storing, protecting and preserving our drugs. We have two observation rooms. General clinics are held everyday, but immunizations are administered on the last Friday of every month.
We have been providing primary health care services such as immunization, nutrition, reproductive health, under-five clinic and general treatment. These have helped immensely in reducing the level of general illness, reproductive health complications, transport costs and malnutrition not only in Telu, but all of our catchments villages.
Common health problems here include malaria, anaemia, and malnutrition. Administrative problems include the lack of mobility, communication equipment, safe water supply and inadequate stationery.
The nearest community health centre is at Mamboma, about three miles from here.
